If you have an existing offshore company in a jurisdiction that does not offer the same degree of protection, you can “return home” the company and its shares to Panama. Doing so can be a relatively simple process.
a) The directors may be located in any country in the world and be of any nationality, and need not be physically present in Panama to form the corporation.
b) since a Panama corporation can own movable and immovable property anywhere in the world and can do business anywhere in the world – an existing business can be moved to Panama without any interruption in their activities or obstructions to their holdings (assuming these are free of legal encumbrances from the beginning).
If you are not satisfied that your existing offshore company enjoys the level of privacy and anonymity you need, transferring it to a corporation in Panama it is your best choice. There is no better competition for offshore companies in the world today.
